

The
Type 13 was a ladder-type radar antenna that was normally mounted
on the mainmast of warships (towards the stern). It was widely used in the
Imperial Japanese Navy in WWII. It had a range of 100 km/62 miles for aircarft
groups and 50 km/31 miles for single aircarft. Large warships such as the
battleship Yamato have a pair of these antenna mounted.
Type

of 100 km/62 miles for aircraft groups, and 50 km/31 miles for single aircraft.
The antenna was normally installed on the mainmast of the warships (towards
the stern), and some large warships such as the Yamato class battleships had
two of these antenna.
