My third major 3-D project. This is a P40 Warhawk 81A-2 No.40 of American Volunteer Group (know to most of us as the "Flying Tigers") piloted by ace R. T. Smith. I chose this project because of its organic forms (curved surfaces) which made it a challenge. I had great difficulty forming the fuselage of this aircraft (took me about 5 times, a week or two each try). However, it did prepare me for building the hulls of the Japanese ships.
