Close up of bridge with new added details. Starting from the top, canvas cover has been added to the point where the rangfinder enters the director tower. They serve to keep the instrument dry. Canvas covers have been added to the handrails of the upper bridge deck. If you look closely, the brass rings holding the canvas to the handrails can be seen. This setup replaced the less accurate "perfectly flat" white sheet located there previously. Two types of bridge instruments have also been added - two Type 96 - 1.5 cm rangfinder (with shields) for controlling the smaller anti-aircraft guns, and six 12 cm binoculars. These are placed at the higher points of the ship i.e. the bridge to allow the lookouts posted there to see enemy ships at a greater range.
