The forward platform for No.1 & 2 Type 96 25 mm antiaircraft guns has been added as part of the lower-bridge deck. Two ammunition box for these guns are located immediately at the back of the platform.

Two Type 13 lookout post has also been added on either sides of the bridge structure. These are armored boxes for binoculars which are used for taking surface bearing and navigation purposes.

The bridge structure has also been extended upwards to included the upper bridge decks. The armored coning tower which formed the forward part of this structure is clearly visible.
